GG Haag's 80th Birthday Weekend

This weekend we drove to Spearfish for GG Haag's 80 birthday. Lila got to meet a few of her great aunts and uncles and she entertained everyone with the new words she'd learned.

Our Little Hippo...

Grandma and Grandpa Vaplon came to visit a couple weekends ago. Lila was eager to show off all the new tricks she'd learned, and her Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed hearing her tell them all about what she'd been up to.

Lila sure has been noisy today. In this video she's talking to her mobile (going on about an hour at this point).

Our Growing Girl

Ever since she started getting more mobile, I never know how I'm going to find her in the morning. This morning, she was perfectly content on her stomach with one leg caught in the bars.

Lila's getting a lot better holding on to things and always has to grab the rattle when we play with her.


I still haven't been able to catch a roll over on video, but I did catch the attempt. It's funny how wound up she gets before she tries.

13 Weeks

Lila rolled over for the first time on the June 11th. Since then, she's gotten to be quiet the little expert at it. She can now roll from her back to her front to her back (she almost ran into the coffee table before we caught her).

Finally a nice summer day!

Eric, Jake and I took Lila for a walk along the river today. It was a beautiful day, but the mosquitoes are definitely out. Eric and I were both a little jealous of Lila's mosquito net.

12 Weeks

Lila's getting to be pretty squirmy in her bed. When I went into get her this morning, she had gotten out of her blanket, turned herself around 180 degrees and had her legs sticking out of the crib.
