Girl's best friend...eventually.

Jake has been adjusting really well to having Lila around, and even took a nap with her today...
...until she did one of her sudden arm flails that sent him jumping up and away like she was going to attack him at any moment.

Lila's first fishing trip...

We ran out to an island on the river today with Brad, Janet and their dogs. We thought we'd take advantage of the nice weather to do a little fishing and let the dogs play. It was Lila's first road trip, only about a 40 minute drive but it was a good warm up for our trip to Spearfish in a couple weeks. She slept the whole way there but we pushed our luck on the way back when we got stuck in traffic.

On the island, Lila and I walked around and watched the boys not catch fish.Eric wasn't too disappointed since the poor fishing was a good excuse to get in a little retrieving practice for Jake.

Happy Easter!

Grandma and Grandpa Wolff came to visit over Easter weekend. Lila was a little young to take part in all the Easter festivities but she enjoyed having her grandparents there to fuss over her. And I'm beginning to notice that it seems like she'll sleep for anyone but me :)

Lila's first visitors

We quickly learned that Lila loves to sleep with her arms stretched above her head...
and that she can just about fit her whole fist in her mouth when she's hungry.
Grandma and Grandpa Vaplon enjoyed their new grand baby...

and Auntie Krista was already spoiling her little niece.

It's a Girl!

We went into the hospital at about 10 Wednesday morning and Lila was born at 5:09 that night. She was 6 lb. 9 oz. and 19 in. long.

One of the volunteers at the hospital made the little pixie hat for her.
